D.A.K. D class Unarmed Guard Training

Class D License Part I - Unarmed Security Guard
Class seating is limited and fills up quickly, so register early.
Registrants learn the basic requirements for employment as an unarmed security officer as required by Florida State Statutes Section 493.
A temporary license from the state of Florida will be issued upon completion of this course to each registrant until the permanent licensed is received.
The permanent license from the state of Florida will be issued within 60 - 90 days after completion of the course.

D.A.K. G class Armed Guard Training

Class G License - Armed Security Guard
Registrants learn the requirements for employment as an armed security officer as required by Florida State Statutes Section 493, 775, and 790.
A temporary license from the state of Florida can be obtained upon satisfactory completion of this course and a psychological and physical examination until the permanent licensed is received.
The permanent license from the state of Florida will be issued within 60 - 90 days after completion of the course.

D.A.K. Concealed Weapons Training

Concealed Weapon Course - Civilian CWP or CCW
Registrants learn the basic requirements for carrying a concealed weapon as required by the State of Florida. This is for civilian use only and does not apply towards any security guard licensing.

Am I required to attend training to work for D.A.K.?

Yes.
D.A.K. requires mandatory, certified security training at our Florida Department of State licensed security training facility in order to work as a D.A.K. employee, including 40 hours minimum training specific to the entertainment industry.
D.A.K. Event Staff including ushers, ticket takers and general attendance staffing are trained in a 24-hour program initially, followed by 16 hours after 18 months of on-the-job experience at sports and concert events.
D.A.K. Security Staff are required to be certified in D-class and can certify in G-class and Concealed Weapons if approved by D.A.K.
D.A.K. Executive Division employees have advanced training certificates, ex-military or police training, or a minimum of three years' entertainment industry or executive/celebrity security experience.

May I attend training without working for D.A.K.?

Yes.
Any person who meets state requirements may attend D.A.K. Licensed Security Training School.
